abroad with ASA

The Art School Alliance (ASA) offers Academy’s students at the Institute of Fine Arts the opportunity to study one semester free of charge at the HFBK Hamburg and, in addition, to study, work and live in a residential and working studio together with other ASA students. Participation in the ASA programme is possible for regular enrolled students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from the third semester of studies. The call for this place will be made directly to the official e-mail addresses of the students of the Academy.

The application will only be submitted digitally via: https://calls.akbild.ac.at/calls/ASA2122/ in the form of a PDF file (max. 10 MB) and should contain the following documents:

  • Artistic portfolio (visual arts)
  • Letter of motivation incl. CV
  • Application form: Signed by the relevant head of department at the IBK, by the mobility coordinators of all other fields of study.

Time schedule:

  • Application Deadline ASA WS21 | 22: Monday, 3 May 2021, 11:00 hrs.
  • Internal selection meeting of the department head of the Academy: 5 May 2021
  • Admission or cancellation of the academy: 12 May 2021

The Head of the Institute of Fine Arts and the Mobility Coordinators for International Exchange decide on the award of the study place.
