Cathrin Pichler Prize
Honouring the thinker, curator, author, and teacher Cathrin Pichler, this prize will be awarded to a student or alumni_alumnae of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, who – in the sense of Cathrin Pichler – deals with specific artistic methods and practices as contribution and intervention to a scientific discourse. The prize is endowed with 2.500.- Euro sponsored by the City of Vienna. The certificate will be awarded in the frame of a ceremony.
Application requirements
Enrolled students of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and graduates who have completed their studies at the academy within the last five years* can submit their proposals. The prize is awarded to an artistic-scientific project. Qualification works such as diplomas, master theses, or dissertation projects are excluded.
* Exception due to social reasons: If the graduation was longer ago, it is still possible to submit with proof of, e.g. years spent for childcare, disease or care for dependents, etc.

Submission period yearly mid of March to mid of April
Submissions are only possible via the Academy's submission system https://calls.akbild.ac.at/.
Necessary documents for submission
- Project: documentation of the submitted project (PDF with max. 5 MB and max. 30 pages)
- Portfolio: documentation of artistic-scientific work (PDF with max. 5 MB and max. 30 pages)
- Tabular curriculum vitae (CV)
