Events

Institutes will open their atelier doors and studios, and performances, discussions and educational programs are offered. The annual Academy Auction will also take place as part of the tour, for which world-famous and even lesser-known artists will make works available for auction.

A project initiated by the WIENWOCHE 2023. Artistic director Jelena Micić and co-curator Denise Palmieri invite Elena Messner, Ljubomir Bratić & Gabriela Urrutia Reyes to the auditorium of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where MUSMIG will be located for the first time.

This year the Cathrin Pichler Prize was awarded to Masimba Hwati. Masimba Hwati works as an artist intermediary in the fields of sculpture, sound, performance and video. Since 2020, Masimba Hwati has been part of the PHD in Practice program at the Academy.
